"How long will it take to receive my order?" Because we lovingly hand make each item as it is ordered, we ask for up to 14 business days to process your order, and to expect 5-7 day shipping times. We do our best to ship orders out as quickly as possible, but due to limited staffing and the complex nature of our pieces, sometimes we do need that entire processing time! If you need to place a rush order, please reach out via email.

"What measures are you taking to be sustainable?" We strive to reduce fabric waste in the industry by using deadstock and recycled fabrics when possible. We thoughtfully designed pieces to help reduce fabric waste, such as our Patchwork Tote bags, which help ensure every scrap of our Italian Tapestries are used! We also ship all of our orders in compostable/biodegradable packaging, and we make our garments as orders are placed to one again, reduce waste.

"You don't have my size, why not?" We are an extremely small team and we are doing our best to accommodate everyone! Due to factors such as fabric availability, dimensions of the tapestry squares, and limited budget we were only able to start with a limited size run. We are actively working to extend our size range and this is only the beginning! Thank you so much for your patience and support! “What does ‘Vellachor’ mean?” Inspired by the word “vellichor” which means “the strange wistfulness of used bookstores, which are somehow infused with the passage of time”.

“What is the inspiration behind Vellachor?” I found my creative voice as a child when I would regularly visit my grandfather’s antique store. Inspired by the old and beautiful objects, fascinated with wondering what stories they could tell. This feeling of nostalgia resonates strongly with me, so I chose to let it inspire my brand, a brand that speaks 100% from my heart.
